Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor logged on, posted “If it’s me or you it ain’t gonna be me.” on X, and logged off. No name, no fight, no date, no video. It’s 10 words of pure Notorious, and the vagueness is the best part, because every fighter on Earth with a grudge against him now gets to wonder whether it’s about them. The man can still move a timeline with a sentence most people would put on a gym towel.
Jake Paul
The biggest actual news of the day comes from Jake Paul, who quote-posted his promotion’s announcement with “The takeover. Welcome to MVP Mizuki….” Most Valuable Promotions has signed Japanese boxing star Mizuki Hiruta, who goes by Mimi and is 11-0 with two knockouts. According to MVP’s post, she’s the WBO and Ring super flyweight world champion, the 2025 Ring Female Fighter of the Year, a four-time Japan Female Fighter of the Year, and she has seven successful world title defenses. MVP’s post said she comes from Okayama, Japan.
Small detail I love: Paul’s version trimmed the word Japan out of that four-time award. That turned a national honor into what reads like four global trophies. Classic promoter math. Still, this is a legit signing of a real champion, and for MVP’s push into women’s boxing beyond the U.S., it’s a big get.

TEAM TENSHIN
The most-engaged post of the day had zero trash talk in it. The @TeamTenshin_ account wrapped up Tenshin Matsuri 2026, a two-day festival, and posted a long thank-you on X. The team wrote that it wanted to use Japan’s old festival traditions to connect people across generations and build a place where everyone can have fun. It thanked the Matsudo city office, the police, local residents, sponsors, vendors and performers, the group that led the bon odori dance, and the staff who worked it from setup to the final day. The post signed off with “#TEAMTENSHIN”. Fight camps throw parties. This camp throws a municipal festival with a police detail.

Shinya Aoki
Shinya Aoki dropped a quick technique thought on X: “ザックさんの『折り畳む』概念は今までになかった。極めるんだけど折り畳むんだよな。” Roughly, he said the idea of folding from someone he calls Zack-san was a concept he’d never seen before, and that you finish the submission, but you do it by folding. When one of the most creative grapplers of his generation calls a concept new, grappling nerds should pay attention. I want the instructional, and I want it yesterday.

Gaston Reyno
This one is a heavier post. Gaston Reyno paid tribute on X to Gonzalo Moratorio, who has died: “Se fue uno de los buenos! Fue un Guerrero fundamental para que Uruguay le pueda ganar la Batalla al COVID-19… gracias por tanto, QEPD Gonzalo Moratorio 🙏🏻🇺🇾”. Reyno called him one of the good ones and a key figure in Uruguay’s fight against COVID-19, and he thanked him for everything. Rest in peace.

Gary Goodridge
Gary Goodridge went full locker-room whiteboard on X: “Strength grows in the moments you think you can’t go on.” It’s a simple line, and it works because it’s a fighter saying it instead of a life coach selling a course. Somebody print this and tape it above a stationary bike for the final round of a cardio session.

Genki Sudo
Genki Sudo posted on X that former K-1 super bantamweight champion Akihiro Kaneko stopped by 磯ひで, the spot he tagged in the post. Sudo wrote that the two talked a lot about what kind of story Kaneko wants to write as a fighter from here, and that he’s looking forward to what comes next. He closed it with “ありがとう〜”. It’s a small hang, sure, but a K-1 legend sitting down with a recent K-1 champ to talk career plans is the kind of crossover I’ll actually buy a ticket for.
