The PFL turned to Dan Hardy to set up its heavyweight main event in Dubai. “The PFL Heavyweight World Title is on the line in Dubai!” the promotion wrote on X on Wednesday, adding that “@danhardymma breaks down the Heavyweight Main Event set to go down on Saturday, November 14th between PFL Heavyweight World Champion Vadim Nemkov and Sergei Bilostenniy.”
The post packages Hardy’s breakdown as a “Keys To Victory” segment. The promotion’s text doesn’t spell out which keys Hardy picked for either man, so I won’t put words in his mouth. What the PFL has been loud about all week is where it thinks the danger sits. A day earlier the promotion wrote on X, “Watch your neck and limbs around Vadim Nemkov,” which is about as subtle as a heel hook. It also ran a “By The Numbers” graphic for the matchup on Tuesday.
Who Nemkov is
Nemkov (20-2) is the inaugural PFL heavyweight champion and sits at No. 9 in the Knockout Daily heavyweight rankings. He fights out of FedorTeam and is a longtime protégé of Fedor Emelianenko. He also competes in sambo, which is why that neck-and-limbs warning lands. His last fight was December 13, 2025, so Dubai will come after roughly 11 months away.

Before he moved up, Nemkov was Bellator’s longest-reigning light heavyweight champion. As of March 26, Wikipedia listed him at No. 3 in the PFL men’s pound-for-pound rankings.
His two losses are old and both came in Rizin. In the 2015 heavyweight grand prix semifinal on December 31, he was retired by exhaustion after the first round (a 10-minute frame in that format) against Jiří Procházka. In April 2016 at Rizin 1 he dropped a split decision to Karl Albrektsson. A guy who once lost because his gas tank ran dry is now a champion who tells everyone to protect their limbs. That’s a pretty good arc.

What’s next
The sources here don’t give Bilostenniy’s record or résumé, so the challenger’s path is the part Hardy’s video presumably fills in. The PFL has spelled his first name both Sergei and Sergey across its materials. Expect the promotion to lean hard on the grappling angle through fight week.
My lean: if this hits the mat, Nemkov’s sambo makes him the man to beat. Nemkov and Bilostenniy headline PFL Dubai at Coca-Cola Arena on Saturday, November 14.
