Adam Borics is back. PFL announced Sunday on X that the Hungarian featherweight will return at PFL Dubai against undefeated Khasan Magomedsharipov on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Coca-Cola Arena. The promotion sold it with a leg emoji and the line “Don’t look away if Adam Borics enters a cage,” which is about as close as a corporate social account gets to a scouting report.
The bout had already appeared on the full card that Combat Press published on Oct. 31. That rundown slots the matchup on the preliminary card, which starts at 9 a.m. ET, with the main card following at 1 p.m. ET. The whole event streams on the ESPN App in the United States and on STARZPLAY across the Middle East and North Africa.
The numbers
Borics comes in at 20-4 and ranked No. 7 among PFL featherweights. Magomedsharipov is 11-0 and sits at No. 10. So this is the classic gatekeeper-versus-prospect setup. The ranked veteran has more than twice the professional fights of the unbeaten guy, and he’s putting his spot on the line against someone with nothing to lose and a perfect record to protect. If Magomedsharipov wins, he skips a few rungs on the ladder in one night. If Borics wins, he hands a prospect his first loss, and the 145-pound contenders ahead of him have to take notice.

It also isn’t the only featherweight fight on the prelims with rankings implications. No. 8 Asaël Adjoudj (11-1) faces Movlid Khaybulaev, who carries a 23-0-1 record into the same block of fights. Four featherweights, two of them unbeaten, all fighting within a couple of hours of each other. Somebody in the PFL office is clearly building a division.
The rest of the card
PFL Dubai is a 15-fight event and the promotion’s fourth show in the city, but the first in Dubai since PFL merged with Most Valuable Promotions. Heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov (20-2) defends his title against No. 3 Sergei Bilostenniy (15-4) in the main event, a fight between former Team Fedor training partners. Nemkov has gone unbeaten across his last 15 appearances. In the welterweight co-main, No. 4 Patrick Habirora (9-0), coming off a 20-second knockout of former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson in Brussels, meets No. 5 Omar El Dafrawy (16-6), the inaugural PFL MENA welterweight champion.
The main card also includes Pouya Rahmani (6-0) against No. 1 heavyweight contender Oleg Popov (23-2), former Bellator bantamweight champion Sergio Pettis (25-8) against Joji Goto (21-9-1), and Abubakar Nurmagomedov (17-4-1) ending a three-year layoff against David Martinez (17-6).
Quick take
I like Borics here, and the reason is the gap between 24 fights and 11. Unbeaten records at 11-0 are real, but they’re also often built against a curve, and a ranked veteran with 20 wins is a different exam than anything on a prospect’s résumé before he gets to this level. The leg emoji suggests PFL wants you watching Borics’s kicks, and I’d watch the first round for whether Magomedsharipov respects them or walks straight through. If the unbeaten guy wins the early exchanges, this gets interesting fast. My pick is still Borics, on the prelims at 9 a.m. ET on Nov. 14, so set an alarm.
