Unbeaten Jacobe Smith Calls Kevin Holland Scared After Trouncing Randy Brown

Smith went to 14-0 with three 30-26 cards at UFC Vegas 123 and immediately turned his attention back to Holland, who fights Uros Medic on Nov. 14.

Jacobe Smith walked out of UFC Vegas 123 with his zero intact and his grudge still burning. Sherdog summed it up on X by noting that Smith is still unbeaten and still targeting Holland. In its post-fight story, the outlet reported that Smith called Kevin Holland scared and that he still wants to settle things with the veteran.

The fight that earned him the microphone wasn’t close. Smith beat Randy Brown by unanimous decision with 30-26 on all three cards, according to Championship Rounds. Do the arithmetic and every judge gave Smith at least one round wider than 10-9. Getting all three judges to go that far is rare enough that you know the beating was obvious from the cheap seats. Championship Rounds posted midway through that Smith was dominating Brown, and the UFC’s own account celebrated the result by pointing out he’s still undefeated.

That win moves the Ranger 47 welterweight to 14-0. He sits at No. 34 in the Knockout Daily welterweight rankings, which is the awkward part of the callout. Holland is No. 24 in our rankings, carries a 29-15 record built over a pro career dating to 2015, and was No. 14 in the Meta UFC welterweight rankings as of Aug. 8, 2026. He has also fought for Bellator, King of the Cage and LFA, and he splits time between welterweight and middleweight. Smith is asking a guy with more than double his pro fights to come down the ladder for him.

Calling Holland scared is Smith’s characterization and nothing more. Holland hasn’t been quoted in any of the coverage responding to it, and there’s no evidence he has turned down a fight with Smith. He also has a pretty good excuse for not taking new bookings this week. Holland already has an opponent.

He faces Uros Medic at UFC 334, the Gane vs. Hokit card, on Nov. 14, 2026. It’s his first fight since April 11, so the layoff is about seven months, which is long enough to make me squint at any short price on him once lines settle. The Smith question basically gets decided in that cage. Holland beats Medic and Smith’s callout gets louder, because an undefeated prospect chasing a ranked name is a story matchmakers like. Holland loses and the matchup suddenly looks a lot more even on paper, which could make it easier to book and less appealing for Holland to accept.

Either way, Smith has done the part he controls. Fourteen fights, zero losses, and three judges who all scored at least one round as a rout.
