Sean Strickland Torches Ariel Helwani and Says the Hate Started Over Israel

Strickland claims Helwani turned into his "number 1 hater" the moment he stopped supporting Israel, and he called the journalist weak on his way out the door.

Sean Strickland

Sean Strickland woke up and chose Ariel Helwani. “I cant fucking stand Ariel,” he wrote on X, then laid out his theory that the moment he stopped supporting Israel, Helwani flipped into his “number 1 hater.” He followed with “Man went from thanking me for supporting them to my biggest hater lmao” and finished with “Youre the most biased weak man on the internet.”

This was easily the loudest post of the day at 4,201 engagements, and it’s peak Strickland: no subtweet, no vague shade, just a full name and a motive. Whether Helwani bites is the only thing that matters now, because a one-sided feud with Strickland is a Tuesday, and a two-sided one is a content farm.

Yuta Kubo

The first K-1 welterweight world champion and current RIZIN fighter posted on X that his wife’s love of Hermes is doing real damage to his monthly payments. He then flexed in the saddest possible direction, joking that at that same age he was 10 million yen in debt after being threatened by bad adults. The capper was a pun that roughly works out to Hermes making his money heru, the Japanese word for decrease, which is the kind of dad joke that only lands because he’s clearly the one paying the bill. I respect any champion who can turn his credit card statement into a bit.

Hideki Sekine

The sweetest post of the day came from the man nicknamed Shrek. Sekine wrote on X that losing a beloved dog hurts so much it can make you not want to go on living, but because you can’t put your dog through that same grief, you’re never allowed to die before them. He signed off with a one-word order that translates to Live. Nothing to roast here. Go hug your dog.

Kyoji Horiguchi

Horiguchi turned 36, and his team’s account rallied fans to flood the replies with birthday messages before he woke up in Florida as a little surprise. It worked. He posted on X that he had just woken up, thanked everyone for the pile of messages, and said he’d read every one. He also promised to keep showing people how fun fighting is at 36 and asked fans to support him for his UFC Qatar fight on November 22. Waking up to a mountain of love and a fight date on the calendar is a pretty good birthday.

Hiromasa Ougikubo

Ougikubo spent time as a guest coach at the RIZIN Koshien camp, which RIZIN’s own promo pitched as a hellish, irrational training camp, and the session is up on YouTube. He wrote on X that he’s curious whether a future star will come out of the group and that he’s excited to watch them grow. The semifinals go down Saturday, October 17, and he teased the big question: who punches a ticket to New Year’s Eve. RIZIN is also taking applications for free tickets to the semifinal, held at an undisclosed spot in Tokyo.

Israel Adesanya

Adesanya baited the entire timeline with “LEAKED FOOTAGE, ADESANYA GETS KNOCKEDOUT“ and three screaming emojis. The actual post was a plug for a friend’s gym, calling it “Thee best place to train in Brisbane, TFC!!” and congratulating Ben on building it. Clickbait headline, wholesome payoff. Somebody hire this man for our homepage.

Tatsuya Kawajiri

The Crusher apparently spent seven hours livestreaming video games today, and he posted on X that he’s not totally sure where his life is headed. He tagged it #じりゲーム, his gaming series. Seven straight hours is a full shift, so he’s at least got a second career with real overtime.
