Deontay Wilder Asked Dana White About His Bedroom Energy and Dana Actually Answered

White says he feels like he's in his thirties, Wilder claims 19, and the clip dropped one day after Dana booked Wilder against Jai Opetaia.

Deontay Wilder and Dana White have gone into business together, and the first public product appears to be a conversation about stamina that had nothing to do with 12 rounds. Lyndy’s Sports Annuals reported Friday that Wilder launched Heavyweight Truth with White. The name is about all that’s public so far, but the timing tracks with a clip from Wilder’s own account (@BronzeBomber) that ran laps on X Thursday.

In the video, Wilder asks White about his energy levels in the bedroom. White, to his credit or his detriment, answered the question.

“I feel like I’m in my thirties,” White said.

Wilder went bigger. “I feel 19. The things I do, I swear.”

Championship Rounds posted the exchange first, and it spread from there. Conor McGregor quoted a version of it with his own contribution: “Thru the roof MAC ENERGY.” Not every reaction was that warm. The Spinnin Backfist account quoted the clip with a five-word review, “just announce some fights bro,” which is the most relatable sentence anyone posted all week.

The Fight That Actually Matters

The joke about announcing fights lands a little sideways, because White did announce one for Wilder. On Wednesday, Championship Rounds flagged a post from White’s account revealing Wilder vs. Jai Opetaia for the Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua undercard. So the bedroom clip came out roughly a day after the former heavyweight world champion got his next assignment on the biggest British heavyweight card anybody has been able to put together in years.

White was everywhere this week. On Jim Rome’s show he said the UFC is working on Ilia Topuria’s return and expects it in early 2027. He also admitted he may have fed Josh Hokit some tough opponents because he didn’t like some things Hokit said. Separately, he told The Mac Life that Islam Makhachev had verbally agreed to fight Carlos Prates in January before pulling out, adding that he likes when fighters stay busy and that twice a year “would be nice” for a champion.

That last line is funny next to the Wilder video. White wants his champions active. Wilder wants everyone to know he’s active. Different contexts, I’m told.

Sal’s Take

I don’t price bedroom claims, and nobody should take action on a 19-year-old’s energy coming out of a heavyweight who has been doing this as long as Wilder has. What I will price is Opetaia, and that’s where my attention goes once a real line posts. Wilder’s whole betting profile has always been the same, one right hand that makes every scorecard irrelevant, and that’s the kind of puncher’s chance that keeps a live dog live even when the rest of the matchup looks ugly. The Heavyweight Truth partnership tells me White is invested in the Wilder brand. It tells me nothing about whether Wilder can find Opetaia’s chin before the volume adds up. When the number drops for the Fury vs. Joshua undercard, I’ll care about that a lot more than how anybody feels at night.
