David Onama's Instagram Story May Have Just Spoiled the Entire UFC 335 Card

The featherweight posted what looks like a full fight lineup to his IG story, and it spread from X to Reddit within hours.

David Onama may have done the UFC’s matchmakers no favors on Wednesday night. The featherweight put up an Instagram story that appeared to show the complete lineup for UFC 335, and MMA account Dovy (@DovySimuMMA) grabbed it before it could vanish.

“David Onama posts this on his IG story

Potentially the full UFC 335 card,” Dovy wrote on X, attaching the image.

The post went up at 1:35 a.m. GMT on November 5, though r/MMA had already gotten there first. A thread flagging Onama’s post as a possible full 335 card was live about half an hour earlier, and MMA Sucka followed later that morning with its own report on the apparent leak. The specific bouts on the graphic haven’t been confirmed in anything published so far, and nothing in the reporting shows the UFC acknowledging the image. That’s why everyone covering it is hedging, Dovy included, with that “Potentially” in his post. For now it’s a screenshot of a story post, and it should be treated that way.

The person who posted it is a featherweight with a real résumé. Onama was born in the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement in Uganda, moved to the United States with his family, and now trains at FactoryX Muay Thai in Kansas City. He came into the UFC 8-0 as a pro after a 10-0 amateur run, took his debut against Mason Jones on short notice and lost a decision, then rebuilt. Knockouts of Gabriel Benitez and Gabriel Santos both earned Performance of the Night bonuses. A majority-decision loss to Nate Landwehr picked up Fight of the Night. Then came three straight decisions over Jonathan Pearce, Roberto Romero at UFC 309, and Giga Chikadze in April 2025, the last of which got him into the featherweight top 15.

The most recent fight on his record went the other way. Onama headlined UFC Fight Night 263 on November 1, 2025, and Steve Garcia stopped him by first-round TKO, the first time anyone had finished him. That puts him at 6-3 inside the Octagon.

Why would a fighter have the full card on his phone? The sources don’t say, and it would be guesswork to assume he’s booked on it. Fighters get bout sheets and schedules from management and promotion staff all the time. Posting one to 24-hour Instagram is a different matter.

If the graphic turns out to be accurate, the UFC has lost control of its own rollout for a pay-per-view, and it will have the official announcements to make anyway. If it’s wrong, Onama will have given a lot of people on Reddit a long night of overanalyzing a phone screenshot for nothing.
