“Alexander Volkanovski vs Movsar Evloev is currently a 50-50 fight via @Polymarket,” Championship Rounds wrote on X, then added, “Will it be And New or And Still? #UFC333”
A prediction market splitting a title fight right down the middle is about as close to a shrug as money gets. This one is earned. Volkanovski is 28-4 and sits No. 1 at featherweight in the Knockout Daily rankings. He is the two-time UFC featherweight champion, ties José Aldo for the most featherweight title wins in UFC history, and became the oldest man to defend that belt at 37. He was born Sept. 29, 1988, so he walks into the Abu Dhabi cage on Oct. 24 at 38. His last fight was Jan. 31.
Evloev is 20-0 and ranked No. 2. He’s 32, trains out of American Top Team, and holds Master of Sports in Greco-Roman wrestling. He last fought March 21. His UFC run reads like a stack of scorecards: unanimous decisions over Seung Woo Choi, Enrique Barzola, Mike Grundy, Hakeem Dawodu and Dan Ige, plus a split over Nik Lentz that all 26 media outlets scored for him. He wins rounds. He does not usually end them early.

That’s the math behind the 50-50. One guy owns the age records. The other has never lost.
The real underdog on the main card
The bigger price story sits one rung down. A thread on r/MMA flagged Merab Dvalishvili at +145 against Petr Yan as the biggest underdog on the UFC 333 main card. Read that again: the widest number on the main card is +145, which tells you the books see the title fight as tighter than a Merab dog price. I have lost money on worse coin flips than this card.

UFC 333 Embedded Episode 2 dropped Tuesday, and MiddleEasy’s recap says Dvalishvili put training ahead of his home-gym project this camp. Yan, meanwhile, has been busy being Petr Yan. One clip that Dovy posted on X shows a kid at a meet and greet challenging him to wrestle, and Yan answering, “you want?” His custom fight shorts also got their first look Tuesday.
The same Embedded episode features Losene Keita laying out how he views his competitive approach against Aaron Pico, according to MiddleEasy’s breakdown.

The weigh-ins will be the last data point before the cage door shuts. If the main event line is still sitting at even money on fight night, take it as a sign that nobody, including the people paid to know, has a clue which way this goes.
