A December date has appeared on UFC.com, and the promotion never announced it. The events page on the official site now lists a Fight Night for December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, with a main event that reads, in full, TBD vs. TBD. That is the same night and the same stadium already booked for Tyson Fury against Anthony Joshua, the long-awaited heavyweight fight that has been the biggest date on the 2026 boxing calendar since it was signed.
Bloody Elbow reported the listing on Monday after fans began passing screenshots around X. One user, @KaiKaraNZ, posted it with a question a lot of people were apparently asking themselves: “UFC coming to UK? Has this slipped past everyone or just me?”
Nothing about the UFC’s British schedule pointed to a second visit this year. The promotion’s only UK stop in 2026 so far was UFC London in March at the O2 Arena, where Movsar Evloev took a decision over Lerone Murphy in a main event that Bloody Elbow remembered as a slog. The UFC was not expected to come back to Britain before the year ran out.
Dana White is the complication. The UFC boss has insisted he will be involved in Fury vs. Joshua as a promoter and producer of the Netflix card, and Bloody Elbow has separately reported that White highlighted a loophole that allows him to be part of the event. So a UFC-branded entry sitting on top of a boxing card in Wales is less random than it first looks, even if nobody has said what it means.
Most fans read it as the boxing event leaking onto the wrong website. “It’s Fury vs AJ exact same date and venue. Dunno why it’s on the UFC website tho ahaham,” one wrote. Another sounded a little heartbroken: “UFC Cardiff would be unreal, but sadly it’s for the boxing.” A few suggested the whole thing was a glitch. Others saw intent behind it. “Dana is doing everything he can to be a part of the event,” one person insisted, while another put it more bluntly: “Wow, Dana really forcing himself to be involved in that fight.”
The obvious follow-up is whether this hints at UFC fights on the undercard of a Fury vs. Joshua show. As of Monday, no bouts, no fighters and no card announcement had been attached to the listing. Two placeholders and a stadium name were all it offered.
My guess is the boring one. White is producing the night, the date lives somewhere in his company’s systems, and a template page went live before anyone thought about how it would look to people who refresh UFC.com for fun. If White does slip a couple of octagon fights in front of a Cardiff stadium crowd that came for two British heavyweights, that would be a genuine story, and it would land in a country where the UFC’s last visit put people to sleep. Until somebody fills in those two TBDs, though, the only fighters confirmed for the Principality Stadium on December 11 are wearing boxing gloves.
