Tommy Fury told Jake Paul he plans to break the other side of his jaw, and Paul’s response was to shut down any talk of a rematch. The two traded shots on X over the weekend, reigniting a feud that has outlived its only actual fight by more than three years.
The spark was a viral clip. GreatBritishMC posted video of Fury allegedly being kicked out of a Halloween event, claiming he was too drunk and trying to kiss actors. Paul quote-posted it on October 18 and dragged Fury’s partner, Molly-Mae Hague, into it: “Molly-Mae runs a business, raises the kids and pays the bills. Tommy’s job was to not get kicked out of a haunted house. Couldn’t do it.”
Fury didn’t take long. “Well well well. Look who can’t keep my name out their mouth. I’ll see you very soon buddy. Time to break the other side of your jaw. You fat tattooed prick.”

That jaw line is a pointed reference. Paul hasn’t fought since Anthony Joshua knocked him out this past December, a loss that left him with a broken jaw. So Fury went straight for the most recent scar on the guy’s résumé.
Paul came back on October 19, and he was blunt about a second fight: “Never happening. Ship has sailed.” He tacked on a personal jab aimed at Fury and his family, and Fury closed the exchange with this: “Don’t ever mention my name again in that case. Enjoy the loss for the rest of your life you first class bum.” MMA Fighting first rounded up the back and forth.
How We Got Here
Fury beat Paul by split decision, keeping his own zero and handing Paul the first loss of his pro career. Paul walked into that fight 6-0, with wins over former UFC champions Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley, ex-Bellator and ONE champ Ben Askren, NBA veteran Nate Robinson and fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib.
Fury has kept winning. He beat KSI, then Kenan Hanjalic in his most recent sanctioned bout, and sits at 11-0 as a pro. His run has had some weird detours, though. He was linked to a boxing match with former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till, then withdrew after Till threatened he might kick him in the head. Fury instead boxed strongman Eddie Hall in an exhibition this past June.
As for what’s next, Paul’s own words take the rematch off the table. Neither man named an opponent or a date in the exchange.
My Take
Paul built an empire on calling his shot and cashing the check, which makes it funny that the one guy who beat him in a straight boxing match gets a “ship has sailed” instead of a contract. Fury isn’t exactly bulletproof here either. Threatening to break a jaw on X hits different when your last big detour was backing out of the Till fight over a hypothetical head kick, and the follow-up was an exhibition with Eddie Hall. A rematch makes plenty of sense on paper, with Fury 11-0 and Paul needing a rebuild after the Joshua knockout. Right now, though, the only thing either guy is landing is replies. Paul quoted a haunted house video and Fury answered with a jaw threat, and until somebody signs something, that’s all this rivalry is.
