Rhenimi Snaps Lamsing's Streak as Wang Junguang Spoils Prajanchai's Big Return

Abdessamie Rhenimi stopped Lamsing in Round 3 at Lumpinee, hours after Wang Junguang took a split decision from strawweight Muay Thai king Prajanchai at The Inner Circle 35.

Abdessamie Rhenimi walked into Lumpinee Stadium needing a win and walked out with the best one on the card. The Moroccan stopped Lamsing T1 Fight Academy in the third round to close ONE Friday Fights 175 in Bangkok on Friday night, ending the Thai fighter’s three-fight win streak in front of his home crowd.

Cageside Press framed the matchup going in as a streak against a slump. Lamsing was riding three straight wins and Rhenimi was trying to get back in the win column. A streaking local fighter at Lumpinee against a guy coming off a loss is the kind of setup that gets bet one way, and Rhenimi flipped it by finishing the fight instead of leaving it to the judges.

The Inner Circle 35

The bigger shock came earlier on The Inner Circle 35 card. Wang Junguang beat Prajanchai Pongsuphan PK by split decision in their strawweight kickboxing bout. ONE Championship called it an upset on X and said Wang spoiled the strawweight Muay Thai king’s return to kickboxing. When a promotion uses that word about its own champion, you can assume the books were leaning hard toward Prajanchai.

Johan Ghazali got his rematch result. The Malaysian-American avenged his loss to Diego Paez after three rounds, according to ONE’s account on X.

Olivia Bahsous, the 16-year-old who goes by “Diamond,” stopped fellow 16-year-old Malia Weaver by second-round TKO. ONE described it as Bahsous settling the score with Weaver, and the win gave her three straight knockouts in the promotion.

Jaradchai, another teenager, beat Ayoub Yassine to run his unbeaten streak in ONE to five. Face opened the show by outstriking Valerii Strungari on his way to a unanimous decision.

Elsewhere at Lumpinee

The highlight-reel moment on the Friday Fights side belonged to a newcomer. Japan’s Shosuke Iwanaga debuted with a head-kick knockout, the kind of clip that gets a guy rebooked fast at this venue.

Quick take

The Prajanchai loss will get the headlines, and it should, because champions switching rule sets is where I’ve lost more money than I care to admit to my accountant. A Muay Thai king stepping into kickboxing looks like a layup on paper. The clinch and the scoring both change, and a split decision tells you this one was close enough that two judges saw a different fight than one. But my favorite result of the night is Rhenimi. Fighters coming off a loss against a guy on a streak at Lumpinee are exactly the live dogs I go looking for, and he didn’t just edge it, he got Lamsing out of there in Round 3. Next on ONE’s calendar is ONE SAMURAI 4, which the promotion is already bundling with this card for subscribers.
