Raul Rosas Jr. Won't Slow Down, and His Next Opponent Is a UFC Hall of Famer

Clay Guida, 44 and still hunting his first RAF win, gets the 22-year-old bantamweight at RAF 15 in Chicago on Nov. 28.

Raul Rosas Jr. is heading to Real American Freestyle, and his first opponent there is Clay Guida. RAF announced Friday that the pair will meet at RAF 15 on Nov. 28 at NOW Arena in Chicago, a card that streams live on Fox Nation. MMA Fighting first reported the matchup.

Rosas arrives with momentum. He’s 22, he’s riding six straight wins in the UFC’s bantamweight division, and MMA Fighting noted on X that he’s fresh off his first UFC main event win. One of those six was a frightening finish of Raoni Barcelos at UFC Vegas 121. He’s been a record-book name since he was a teenager: Dana White’s Contender Series earned him a contract at 17, making him the youngest UFC signing ever, and he then became the youngest fighter to win a UFC bout when he beat Jay Perrin in his debut.

The workload is the wild part. RAF 15 is Rosas’ fifth combat sports booking of 2026. He’s already banked two UFC wins this year, fought Deiveson Figueiredo to a draw at a Hype FC event, and submitted Khasan Magomedsharipov in the first round at an ACBJJ event in July. Most bantamweights would call that a career’s worth of side quests. Rosas is fitting it all in before December.

Guida is twice his age. The 44-year-old retired from MMA in 2024 after more than 60 pro fights, 37 of them in the UFC, and his name is in the UFC Hall of Fame’s Fight Wing, inducted in 2019 for his war with Diego Sanchez at The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale. His RAF run hasn’t gone his way. He’s 0-3 in the promotion, with losses to Frankie Edgar, Keelon Jimison and Cayden Henschel.

The rest of RAF 15 has some juice. Former UFC stars Anthony Pettis and Donald Cerrone are booked against each other. Bellator and RIZIN veteran Danny Sabatello faces Jacob Schultz. UFC flyweight Miranda Maverick also debuts for the promotion, and she draws an Olympian in Haley Augello right away.

My take: this is a mismatch on paper and everybody knows it. A 22-year-old on a six-fight UFC heater who already has a first-round submission win on his 2026 résumé, against a 44-year-old who hasn’t won in three RAF tries, is a hard sell as a competitive fight. I still get why RAF made it. Guida keeps showing up, Chicago will be loud for him, and Rosas is the rare young fighter who treats every open date like a dare. If Guida can drag this into an ugly grind, he’ll have done more than his RAF record suggests he can. If he can’t, Rosas walks out of NOW Arena on Nov. 28 with booking number five in the win column and probably starts asking about number six.
