“Lucas Bahdi is ready to become Champ at 135😤💫” Most Valuable Promotions wrote on X on Thursday, two days before Bahdi meets Floyd Schofield in the main event of the promotion’s Saturday card.
That post landed on a busy Thursday for MVP’s social team. The promotion streamed the Schofield vs. Bahdi press conference that afternoon and spent the rest of the day pumping out hype clips for nearly everyone on the card. If you were hoping the promoter would tip its hand on who it likes, good luck. On Wednesday it asked fans whether they had “Lucas Bahdi or Floyd Schofield,” and on Thursday morning it flipped the order and asked “Who’s it gonna be THIS SATURDAY? Floyd Schofield or Lucas Bahdi.” When the promoter has both guys under the same banner, you get perfectly balanced polling and zero picks.
What’s on the line
MVP lists the headliner as a WBA World Championship fight at 135 pounds, according to the full lineup it posted on X on Tuesday. The “become Champ” wording in Thursday’s post puts Bahdi in the role of the guy chasing the belt, and that’s about as far as the promotion’s own material goes. The sources provided here don’t include either fighter’s record, ranking or recent results, so the tale of the tape will have to wait for the broadcast.

The card goes out live on DAZN on Saturday, October 10. Here’s the lineup MVP posted:
- Lucas Bahdi vs. Floyd Schofield (WBA World Championship)
- Jahmal Harvey vs. Pedro Castaneda
- Jan Paul Rivera vs. Abraham Perfecto
- Naomy Valle vs. Sheyla Moreno
MVP gave the undercard its own fight-week push as well. The promotion said Harvey “is ready to put on a show on Saturday night 🔥” and announced that “Naomy Valle is back Saturday Night😤👀.”

What it means next
A world title at lightweight changes a fighter’s whole calendar. The winner Saturday leaves with a WBA belt and the leverage that comes with it. The loser goes back to the line at one of boxing’s deepest weight classes. For a promotion that just spent two straight days refusing to pick a side, the result also settles which of its own guys it gets to build around at 135.
I like that MVP is putting a real title fight on top instead of padding a card with a mismatch. Two hungry guys and a strap on the table is the right way to fill a Saturday night. Now they have to deliver once the cage door... sorry, once the ring ropes close. The opening bell rings Saturday, October 10, on DAZN.
