Jake Paul

Jake Paul is back in the promotion business, and this one comes with a passport stamp. “Guess who’s back…” he wrote on X (@jakepaul), followed by the same line in French and the hashtag #PaulDoumbe. The kickoff press conferences are free and open to the public: Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 6:00pm CET at Pavillon Cambon in Paris, then Thursday, Nov. 12 at 6:00pm GST at the Dubai Opera House, with tickets going on sale Sunday, Nov. 15. Nobody has posted a line yet, so my wallet stays in my pocket. The French copy tells you which market Paul wants talking first.

Sergei Pavlovich

The heavyweight went full gym-wall poster on X (@SPavlovich13). His point was that anybody can claim they’re all in on a good day, so ask him on a bad day and he’ll tell you the same thing. That was the whole post, plus a link, with no opponent or date attached. I like the sentiment. I’ve also cashed zero tickets on sentiment, and I’ve lost plenty on guys who sounded exactly this committed on a Tuesday.

Katsunori Kikuno

The best crossover of the day came out of Japan. Kikuno wrote on X (@kikunodaretsuyo) that Shinya Aoki saw one of his posts and trashed him on a sub-channel, which Kikuno described as 「いい感じに悪く言ってくれた」, roughly Aoki talking smack in a good way. So Kikuno showed up on Aoki’s channel to talk about 「武術」 (martial arts) and billed the pairing as 「いろんな意味で絶対に交わらない二人」, two men who will never see eye to eye, in every sense. When the guy getting roasted shows up to the roaster’s house to keep the argument going, that’s content I’ll watch.

Conor McGregor

McGregor reposted his own earlier rant on X (@TheNotoriousMMA), the one where he asks how many views, how much attendance and what gate the Canelo fight drew, then answers for everybody. “Man I outdo ALL of these people in sales. Majorly. EVERY SINGLE ONE. With ease. Maybe even combined,” he wrote, adding, “I don’t even be trying.” He also pointed out that his last outing went head to head with a World Cup semifinal and still did big numbers, then promised to actually sell the next one, which he called “My final fight.” I’d love to see the math on “maybe even combined.” The part that matters for the betting window is his line about sitting with that last result “for another few months before I return,” which puts his own clock on it.

Darren Till

Till posted “Absolutely terrified 😂👍🏻🐀” on X (@darrentill2), tagged both @jakepaul and @nakisa_bidarian, and capped it with a poop emoji. That’s the whole message. The post doesn’t say what set him off, but nobody tags a promoter and a rat emoji in the same sentence because they’re feeling cordial. Grade it 10 out of 10 on emoji efficiency.

Josh Thomson

Thomson (@THEREALPUNK) went on “McCarthy Monday” for Weighing In with John McCarthy to break down referee Dan Miragliotta’s stand-up in Renato Moicano’s fight last weekend. “Great talk,” Thomson wrote on X, with a link to the full show. For the record, that’s John McCarthy, and our editor Charles would like everyone to know he had nothing to do with the stand-up. A former fighter and the most famous referee alive picking apart a live restart is the kind of conversation the judges should be required to watch, and the full episode is up now.
