Dave Feldman has put a clock on Darren Till vs. Tommy Fury. The BKFC president told Bloody Elbow’s Jamie Theodosi that one obstacle is holding up the bare-knuckle grudge match, and it has nothing to do with money or dates. It’s the Fury family.
“We had a talk about him. Obviously, his family has some problems with Darren Till,” Feldman said of Fury. “That’s the one thing we’ve gotta get over.”
He gave it roughly two weeks. If the issue isn’t resolved in that window, Feldman said plainly, the fight won’t happen. Then he left the door cracked: “Money talks in this business. Money erases a lot of bad feelings in this business.”
The bad blood has history
These two were supposed to box under the Misfits banner in January 2025. That fight fell apart after a heated press conference where Till threatened to kick Fury, the younger brother of Tyson Fury, during what was meant to be a boxing match. That memory probably explains why the family isn’t rushing to sign off on a version of this fight with no gloves at all.
Feldman first said he was talking to Fury about bare-knuckle last month. He floated rebooking the Till matchup after Till outpointed Yoel Romero at BKFC 94. Bloody Elbow framed it as potentially the biggest fight in British bare-knuckle history, and on name value alone that’s hard to argue with.
Till’s contract and what comes next
Till has one fight left on the three-bout deal he signed with BKFC earlier this year. Feldman wants more than that. He said the promotion is negotiating additional fights and that the whole thing hinges on finding the right opponent.
“We have a good future with Darren Till,” Feldman said. “He’s at a stage in his career where he’s accomplished a lot, he wants to make money, and he deserves to make money.”
If Fury passes, Feldman says he has other big names in the works and expects to reveal Till’s next move before mid-November. “We are definitely going to have, in the next three to four weeks, something very, very exciting to announce for Darren Till,” he said.
The bigger picture is bigger still. talkSPORT reported that Conor McGregor’s BKFC is exploring MMA partnerships, with a major plan for Till lined up for 2027. Feldman is McGregor’s business partner in the promotion, so whatever Till signs next could come with ambitions beyond the bare-knuckle ring.
My take: Feldman knows exactly what he’s doing by making the family issue public. Putting a deadline on it turns private reluctance into a story, and stories create pressure. The Romero win showed Till still has the hands to sell a fight, and Fury has the surname to sell out a building. The clock runs out around the end of October. If the Furys walk, Feldman has already promised a Till announcement before the middle of November, and I’d bet he has a backup name on speed dial.
