Dillon Danis posted a screenshot Saturday of what he says is a direct message from Jon Jones, and it has all the subtlety of a spinning back elbow.
Championship Rounds shared the screenshot on X on Oct. 10. The alleged message reads, in full: “Bro, did you really used to suck dck? 😂 That’s fcking crazy.”
That’s the whole thing. One question, one laughing emoji, one follow-up observation. No greeting, no setup, nothing in the screenshot explaining what prompted it. Nothing circulating Saturday showed Jones confirming or denying he sent it, so for now it stays an alleged DM posted by a guy who has never been shy about stirring things up online.

Jones has been talking a lot this week
The screenshot landed in the middle of a very chatty stretch for Jones, most of it on camera with TheSchmo312.
In that interview, published Saturday, Jones said he believes his fight with Stipe Miocic was the last of his career. “I really do believe that was my last moment inside the cage,” he said.
He also admitted he regrets passing on the White House card. “There was the White House card… one of the few nights in my career where I was thinking I should’ve been there,” Jones said. “That was one of my big regrets in life.” He followed it with this: “But if I never fight again, I think I’m pretty damn happy.”

In the same session, Jones said a lot of fans he met in Louisiana greeted him with “It’s Gon’ Be Bad,” and he was loose about that too. “I loved it. I dropped the N-Bomb for them,” he said.
A day earlier, Championship Rounds posted video of Jones tapping out against a pizza eating challenge and calling for his old rival. “I’ve never wanted to see Daniel Cormier more than I want to see him right now. Tag in brother,” Jones said.
So in roughly 48 hours, Jones lost to a pizza, called out Cormier for help, told fans he’s probably retired, said he wishes he’d fought at the White House, and allegedly slid into Dillon Danis’ inbox with a question nobody needed asked.

There’s no fight attached to any of this. Jones says he’s likely done, and Danis’ post didn’t come with a callout, a contract or anything resembling a booking. As of Saturday the screenshot is the whole story.
Quick take
I’ve always liked fighters who answer questions straight, and Jones has been about as straight as it gets this week, sometimes more than his PR team would want. But if the DM is real, this is what retirement looks like for one of the greatest fighters ever: a man who says he’s pretty damn happy never fighting again, spending his Saturday poking Dillon Danis for laughs. Danis, for his part, got exactly what he lives for, which is Jon Jones’ name next to his in every feed in combat sports. Jones handed him that for free, and he didn’t even get a pizza out of it.
