Daisuke Nakamura Draws a Two-Division Pancrase King as KING Reina Teases a Return

Nakamura meets Tokitaka at DEEP TOKYO IMPACT 2026 6th ROUND, while Salahdine Parnasse opened the day mourning a 26-year-old amateur killed in Trappes.

Salahdine Parnasse

The day’s most-engaged post was a heavy one. Parnasse quoted an RMC Sport report on Pengo Bossio Wangi, an amateur MMA prospect and amateur member of Atch Academy in Aubervilliers, who died in the racist attack in Trappes at 26 years old. RMC’s headline described him as someone who set the example for others, and Parnasse wished him rest in peace, sent his thoughts to the family and promised that he won’t be forgotten. There’s no joke here. A kid grinding the amateur circuit outside Paris is gone, and one of France’s biggest names made sure people saw his name.

Renato Moicano

Moicano opened with “It’s over BRUTAL!” and then switched to Portuguese to complain that a fight music show got booked on the same day as the MMA card, asking his fellow Brazilians which one they plan to watch. He also tossed in a jab at his countrymen that reads like an insult and lands like a term of endearment, which only Moicano can get away with. Scheduling conflicts between combat sports and music-meets-fighting spectacles are the sort of thing promoters swear never happens, and Moicano is out here basically running a poll on which event loses.

Yuta Kubo

The first K-1 welterweight world champion, now fighting under the RIZIN banner, posted the most relatable financial panic of the week. Kubo wrote that after last year’s election wrapped, his cash on hand dried up and he was scrambling over whether he’d have to sell real estate, until stocks bailed him out. He thanked his wife for that, and for nursing him through a rare illness last week by swapping out his cooling patches every few hours. Then he dropped the kicker: he’s booked a Hermès appointment for next week. Brother went from maybe selling property to shopping at Hermès in one post, and I respect the arc.

KING Reina

Here’s a fight announcement without the actual announcement. Reina wrote that she can’t share details yet but will compete before the year is out. Her pitch is that the layoff left her with no injuries and power to spare, so she might break her opponent, and she’ll beat them up regardless. She asked fans who they’d like to see her face and put out a call for sponsors via DM. Calling your shot before you even have a name on the contract is my favorite kind of confidence.

Daisuke Nakamura

The cleanest fight news of the day. DEEP’s official account announced that Tokitaka, who has held both the Pancrase featherweight and bantamweight titles, is making a surprise entry to face former DEEP lightweight champion Nakamura at DEEP TOKYO IMPACT 2026 6th ROUND, which runs the same day as DEEP 135 IMPACT. Nakamura opened his reply with a Japanese rallying cry that roughly translates to one more this year, and he hailed his opponent as a two-division king of Pancrase. He said there are a lot of incredible fighters out there and he’s genuinely happy to share a cage with one. A former DEEP champ welcoming a two-division Pancrase king with pure joy instead of trash talk is old-school, and DEEP says tickets go on sale the day after the announcement.

Gary Goodridge

The PRIDE and K-1 veteran posted a single line: “You are stronger than the story that tried to break you.” No context, no tag, no follow-up. Goodridge has been doing this for years and the fan base eats it up, so consider this your morning push.

Sergei Pavlovich

Pavlovich posted “My beautiful capital. You energize me.” with the hashtag #ufc335 attached. The heavyweight didn’t spell out much more than that, but tagging the event number tells you where his head is. If the capital is giving Pavlovich energy, somebody at UFC 335 should be nervous, because that man has never needed extra juice to end a fight early.
