Aljamain Sterling Fires Back at a Snooze Jab While Japan Goes Full Halloween

Sterling told Vallejos he's just scared of getting taken down and strangled, while a BreakingDown semifinal ended in a Round 1 KO and Minowaman turned into a Kinnikuman character.

Keinosuke

The loudest post of the day came from BreakingDown, where 啓之輔 keinosuke (@yoshikei91) knocked out OGJ in Round 1 of a Legend Fight tournament semifinal under kickboxing rules. Afterward he wrote on X, in Japanese, that he’d survived, and he added a thank-you to his supporters. Calling a first-round KO survival is either humility or the kind of understatement you can only pull off after you’ve just flattened somebody, and either way he’s one step from the tournament final.

Minowaman

The self-proclaimed Space Superman, Minowaman (@real_minowaman), posted that he’d become Mongolman for the day, tagging the Kinnikuman Museum, and he followed it by saying he could feel the power surging. Minowaman cosplaying a Kinnikuman wrestler on Halloween weekend is the most on-brand thing a human being has ever done, and I mean that as the highest possible compliment.

YAMATO

YAMATO (@yamato_oldtype) dropped the most mysterious post of the day. He wrote that he’d just noticed something, then asked what this card was, with an image attached. He didn’t explain what card set him off, and I’m not going to guess, but there’s something beautiful about a fighter seeing something, losing his mind, and leaving the rest of us to figure it out. Pure group-chat energy.

Koji Takeda

Koji Takeda (@koujitakeda0813) went straight at the promotion, tagging @rizin_PR with “試合組let’s go🔥” and nothing else. That’s a fighter telling RIZIN to book him, in two languages, with a fire emoji for emphasis. I love it. No vague wait-and-see fluff, just a guy standing in front of the matchmaker’s desk tapping his watch. Your move, RIZIN.

Aljamain Sterling

The funniest trash talk of the day came from Aljamain Sterling (@funkmasterMMA), who quote-tweeted @ElChinoVallejos after Vallejos posted that both what Sterling wants fans to do and what Sterling will actually do amount to a row of sleeping emojis. Sterling’s reply was “Just say your nervous about getting taken down and strangled.” The typo is free of charge. A former bantamweight champ telling his critic the snooze jokes are really just fear of the wrestling is a solid counter, and honestly, the threat is so specific it sounds like a game plan.

Genki Sudo

Genki Sudo (@genki_sudo) spent Halloween at Korakuen Hall watching Krush, and he wrote a full review on X. He singled out the crowd for the Krush lightweight title main event between 大岩龍矢 and 児玉兼慎, saying the cheering sections made the building explode, and that fights between communities get people the most fired up. Then he said that figuring out how to build that matchup structure is the producer’s job. That’s a guy thinking about cheering sections and storylines, which is exactly what fight promotion runs on.

He also praised 大平龍’s ring craft in the bantamweight title decider in the co-main and said he’d like to see him against K-1 bantamweight champ 上遠野寧吾, who was in the building. Sudo capped the matchmaking pitch with a one-word yeah, which is the most satisfied nod you can type. He closed by pointing out the Krush Girls showed up in Halloween cosplay and floated the idea of K-1 Girls changing outfits by season. Fight review, booking request and costume department notes, all in one post.

Georges St-Pierre

Georges St-Pierre (@GeorgesStPierre) kept it simple with “HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 💀👻🎃” and a photo. After Sudo’s thesis and Sterling’s threats, GSP posting a three-emoji holiday greeting is the most GSP thing imaginable, polite and efficient from the nicest man to ever choke people for a living.
